At KIK Compounds we design biodegradable and bio-based elastomers with one guiding idea in mind: every customer deserves a material built around their world. Each formulation begins with the customer's machinery, production rhythm and performance needs, and becomes a compound that fits their processes and technical requirements.
Our drive to innovate grows through our research partnership with Valahia University of Târgovişte, our R&D department. The university brings together experienced academics and young, talented students in its materials-engineering and polymer-science departments, supported by a multidisciplinary research institute and several recognised research centres dedicated to new scientific and technological frontiers.
Working side by side, we explore new possibilities for sustainable materials. We experiment with renewable and recycled feed-stocks, shape them into robust elastomers for demanding industrial applications, and study how these materials behave in both aerobic and anaerobic conditions. This journey allows us to create compounds that are not only high-performing but also genuinely biodegradable and recyclable.
